Parallel to her performance and creation tracks, Júlia Rúbies Subirós designs educational laboratories, structural transmissions, and collaborative spaces for artistic advice. Her pedagogical work frames movement and voice as highly elastic, interconnected materials, blending somatic inquiry, deep imagination, and critical text practices. Operating across major European institutions and independent festivals, she shares generative methodologies that invite students and practitioners to investigate body-voice integration, collective relationality, and the deconstruction of popular culture. 

Upcoming Laboratories

• Workshop: Somatic Vocalizations & Imaginative Textures (In Development)
  This workshop shares the emerging tools developed during the creation of she sells she spells on the seashore, investigating vocalization through a dancer's perspective. Blending somatic inquiry, deep imagination, and physical resonance, the practice treats voice, text, and speech as a fluid material to dissolve the boundaries between movement and linguistic noise.

Academic Transmissions & Guest Teaching

• 2024 | Guest Faculty at P.A.R.T.S. (Brussels, BE): Guest Movement Teacher and Guest Pilates Teacher.
• 2024 | Slow Walk Transmission at KASK (Ghent, BE): Leading the formal transmission of Rosas’s Slow Walkpractice—derived from the Buddhist tradition of walking meditations—for the students of KASK.
• 2024 | External Jury at Antwerp Conservatory (Antwerp, BE): Serving as an external expert evaluator for the Bachelor 2 site-specific projects and Bachelor 3 solo choreographic students.

Workshops & Contextual Research

• 2022 | Finding Personal Space in All of This (FPSIAOT): Conducted at Artist Commons (Brussels) and Performing Arts Forum (PAF, France). Through a detailed dramaturgy of practices, this research seeks a balance between being in relation to others (the many bodies we dance with, texts, beliefs, influences) and being with ourselves, as well as complicating these dichotomies.

   

• 2021 | Workshop of 'Pop-fi' at Bâtard Festival (Brussels, BE): Developed in collaboration with Lili M. Rampre. The laboratory shares the methodology of their joint work Pop-fi, in which they ventriloquize videos of popular culture with their own artistic concerns, allowing participants to generate their own critical renditions.
