For Trio

For Trio is a choreographic work for three to four performers created by Margarida Marques Ramalhete, Georges Labbat, and Júlia Rúbies Subirós, in collaboration with accordionist Ward Ginneberge. The collaboration finds its structural meeting point in Alvin Lucier’s sonic composition, Music for Accordion with Slow Sweep Pure Wave Oscillators.
Inspired by the 90s video games the performers encountered during their youth, the piece slides through the digital performativity of the body, navigating its virtual representations, white utopias, and the social desires constructed around them. Without imposing a singular ideology, Trio functions as a reflective, contemplative mirror of daily routines, subverting them through subtle physical displacements and choreography. The project was initiated within the frame of P.A.R.T.S. Personal Work and presented across several platforms in Belgium.
